In the summer of 1992-93 I did 14 shifts (140 days) mostly in South West Tasmania, working for the Tasmanian Parks & Wildlife Service as a trackworker. On many of those shifts I worked with jusy one other person, my good friend and fine nature photographer Chris Bell. I carried a film camera, along with nearly 40kg. of other gear and photographed when conditions allowed and the mood took me. Some of that work was included in the group show Between Phenomena: the Panorama and Tasmania Plimsol Gallery 2000, as part of the first Ten Days on the Island arts festival. It was subsequently part of the first exhibition held upon the inauguration of the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery in 2003. E-Mail
